enson Stone Company is the local distributor of Anamosa limestone, quarried at Weber Stone Company. Recently I had the privilege of visiting the quarry. The Weber Stone Company quarry is located in Stone City, Iowa. Anamosa limestone has been quarried there since the 1840s. Weber Stone Company was established in 1952.

Anamosa limestone is a dolomite limestone. The color classification is buff, which is described as a warm shade of light to moderate gold. The stone looks like our local limestone, making the material great for projects where a native, natural stone is desired. Pictured below are applications using Anamosa stone.
